Landscape Architect OpportunityThe S/L/A/M Collaborative has an opportunity for a Landscape Architect with a minimum of 5-10+ years of experience to join the firm in our Glastonbury, CT office. SLAM is an award-winning studio-based design firm with exciting and challenging campus planning and detailed site design projects throughout the nation.Job Responsibilities include:Collaborate in a supporting role with LA design lead/project manager on various project teams with several in-house disciplinesManage projects and project teams with several in-house disciplines, in addition to coordinating with various consultantsDevelop and express strong planning and design conceptsAttend client meetings in-house and at client sitesProduce creative and convincing presentations in multiple formatsTranslate design concepts into CAD-based technical drawings and specificationsKey Skills:5-10+ years of experience preferredStrong written and verbal communications skillsExperience in complex site grading, construction documentation, and construction administrationStrong technical skills with site layout, planting, grading/surface drainage, and construction detailingExperience with AutoCAD/Civil3D and LandFXMulti-media 2D and 3D design and documentation skills using software such as Sketch Up, Rhino, Lumion, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft programsHighly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlinesAbility to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skillsLicensure in the state of CT preferredUndergraduate or Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture requiredSLAM is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
