Research Lab Assistant I (Part-Time) – Applied Genomics, Computation & Translational Core A research lab assistant will support the Applied Genomics, Computation, and Translational Core. The Core is a fully equipped genomics facility offering data generation and interpretation for basic science and translational research. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Perform lab cleaning and maintenance duties, including washing and sterilizing glassware, operating autoclaves and other specialized equipment, and utilizing special detergents or cleaning agents. Assist in ordering and maintaining the inventory of cleaning supplies. Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment record keeping. Report to the Lab Supervisor or Research Associate III and assist the Research Lab Assistant II as needed. Participate in research studies and perform basic lab techniques under the guidance of the PI. Qualifications Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Experience & Skills: No experience required. Ability to understand and perform routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to support one or more research labs; ability to use specialized equipment and materials; ability to follow safety standards and procedures.
