Driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles. Position requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and frequent kneeling.Serving Alaska AirlinesJob type: Part-time, on sitePay: $16.25/hourSchedules: Part-Time 3:30am to 7:30 am 5 days per weekWhat you will be doingComfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities.Frequent bending, stretching push/pulling, stacking and kneeling in small, confined locations.Operate motorized equipment and small specialized commercial vehiclesRead and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.Remove blankets and pillows and replace them with clean onesEnsure all cleaning solvents are stored correctly after useEnsure that all cleaning equipment is in working order and that all protective clothing is worn as instructedDeposit all soiled linens into laundry binsMaintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and proceduresConduct physical search of empty interiors and accessible exterior of the aircraft to detect prohibited articles and unlawful interferences that may jeopardize the security of the aircraft.Provide ramp guard services to ensure that only authorized personnel are servicing the aircraft.Follow all TSA, airline, local and/or federal security mandates regarding security and reporting any tampering and prohibited items.Adheres to Menzies' uniform guidelines and code of conductPerforms other duties as assigned.Safety, Security, Wellbeing and ComplianceYou will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
