Job Summary  
Old Dominion Floor Co. has been a staple of the Richmond community for 40 years. As we continue to grow alongside Richmond’s booming housing market, we are looking for a driven  Outside Sales Representative to join our team of 50+ professionals.

This isn't just a desk job—you’ll be in the field, on job sites, and in our beautiful showroom, representing the best floor covering solutions in the area. Whether you are a seasoned flooring pro or a construction-minded individual ready to be trained, we offer a stable, fast-paced environment where your sales success is backed by 35 years of reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Consultative Selling: Present and sell our full catalog of hardwood, tile, and carpet to new and existing customers (homeowners and builders).
• On-Site Estimates: Conduct precise on-site measurements and generate estimates using specialized flooring software.
• Account Management: Prospect and contact potential customers while maintaining strong rapport with our current builder partners.
• Project Oversight: Follow projects through from selection to installation, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any inquiries or complaints.
• Market Growth: Meet sales forecasts and stay ahead of industry trends to provide the best design advice to clients.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the construction industry.  Flooring experience is a significant plus, but we will train the "right person."
• Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn digital estimating tools.
• Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build immediate rapport with diverse clients.
• Traits: You must be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent field experience.
