Night Shift CustodianWilliams College is now accepting applications for a Night Shift Custodian to join the Custodial Services team! The Williams College Facilities Department takes pride in designing, building, operating, and maintaining a safe, beautiful, and sustainable environment for living and learning at Williams.This is a full-time (40 hours per week), year-round position in the Facilities Department, eligible for Williams College's comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Responsibilities:General cleaning throughout designated areas on campusLight maintenance workSnow shoveling in the winterBed making in the summer conference seasonOther duties as assignedRequirements:Ability to work independently and as a member of a teamGood communication and customer service skillsBasic knowledge of computersExperience in general cleaning, maintenance, carpet and floor care is desirableMust have the ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.A current and valid driver's license is required.Note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a motor vehicle records check.Ability to operate cleaning equipment and sanitizing dispensing units.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance.Ability to comply with standing instructions provided by operating manuals, safety data sheets, safety rules and regulations for personal protection and safety regarding equipment and chemical usage.Ability to utilize wearable equipmentSchedule:Tuesday through Thursday: 6:00pm to 2:30amFriday and Saturday: 7:00pm to 3:30am.Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the department. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required as needed.This position is eligible for premium pay, including overtime and applicable shift differentials, for work performed during holidays, weekends, emergency snow response, and other qualifying shifts.Pay ranges from $20.75-$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.Shift differential will be added to your hourly rate for actual hours worked as listed below:2nd Shift (5pm - 12am): $1.00/hr3rd Shift (12am - 7am): $2.00/hrWeekend 2nd Shift: $1.55/hrWeekend 3rd Shift: $2.55/hrApplication review will begin immediately, and will continue until the position is filled.Employment at Williams is contingent on the verification of background information submitted by the applicant, including the completion of a criminal record check, and education when applicable.
