Bartender – Growing Neighborhood Bar

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable bartender to join our growing bar. Business is currently a little slower than at an established high-volume venue, but we’re building momentum and looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

The right person will understand that quieter shifts are an opportunity to connect with guests, keep the bar in excellent condition, help promote upcoming events, and contribute ideas—not simply wait for customers to arrive.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service
• Prepare beer, wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic beverages accurately
• Learn our drink menu, specials, promotions, and upcoming events
• Check identification and serve alcohol responsibly
• Operate the POS system and handle cash and card payments accurately
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar
• Complete opening, shift-change, and closing duties
• Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low
• Build relationships with regulars and create a welcoming atmosphere for new guests
• Help generate business by discussing events, specials, leagues, and promotions with customers
• Stay productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, organizing, and preparing for busier shifts
• Work cooperatively with management and other team members
• Follow all health, safety, and alcohol-service requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Previous bartending or customer-service experience preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work without constant supervision
• Positive attitude and willingness to help the business grow
• Comfortable working both slower and busier shifts
• Able to multitask and remain professional under pressure
• Available for evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Must meet all legal age and certification requirements for serving alcohol
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 30–50 pounds
